University Paris-Sud 11 - a dynamic cultural centre
University Paris-Sud 11 considers that as well as being a centre for the creation and fusion of knowledge, a university should be a centre for the creation and diffusion of culture. Various cultural workshops are consequently organised by the Office of Cultural Affairs (Service des Affaires Culturelles) for students and staff alike. Moreover, some of these workshops count as optional modules for 1st cycle courses. Many of the workshops take part in the arts festival, Le Printemps de la Culture, a festival which includes both amateur and professional shows. The University is also involved in National Poetry Week, Le Printemps des poètes, held in March.

If you are interested in setting up a cultural project at the University, you can apply for funding from the FSDIE, Fonds de Solidarité et de Développement des Initiatives Etudiantes.
